Most people John Maxwell encounters have a dream. In fact, he’s asked thousands about their greatest aspirations. Some describe their dream with great enthusiasm and detail. Others are reluctant, almost embarrassed, to talk about it. Regardless of their zeal or fear, the same question drives every person with a dream: Can I achieve it?
Sadly, most people have no idea how viable their dream is. They hope to achieve it, yet hope is not a strategy. What people need is a way to test their dream.
In Put Your Dream to the Test, Maxwell brings the subject of a personal dream down to earth. He gives readers practical and powerful direction for their lives by leading them through ten questions that will help them create a clear and compelling pathway to their dream.
My Review:
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I cannot say exactly what drew me to it in the first place—I have a pretty good idea what my dream is (as evidenced by the hours upon hours of writing, blogging and journaling.) But John C Maxwell asks the important questions and digs deeper.
He has a clear, concise writing style with great illustrations and stories to show his points. I’d recommend this book for anyone, whether or not they think they know what their dream is.
Is your dream attainable? Is it reasonable? Does it even play to your strengths? You’ll consider these questions and more in “Put Your Dreams to the Test.”
I’ve heard wonderful things about Maxwell’s other books, and by evidence of his writing and his step by step approach, I see why. Check this one out!
