My Review:
After meeting Rachel Hauck in person at the Oregon Christian Writers Conference, I knew I had to get one of her books. She is such an engaging, dynamic person, I had a hunch that energy and personality would slip into her books. After reading The Wedding Dress, I think that is an understatement.
Hauck creates memorable characters with quirks and faults that plague most every-day homo sapiens. She brilliantly weaves the tales of all four women together and I was never lost or confused. With strong descriptions, catchy details and unexpected twists, The Wedding Dress was a highly addictive read.
This book will satisfy contemporary fiction fans and historical fiction fans alike. And it might leave you with the urge to go dress shopping. Just saying.
