Kate Evans may be a woman in a man’s profession, but as Alaskan bush pilots go she’s one of the best. She often works closely with doctor Paul Anderson, bringing much needed medical services to far-flung people in the forbidding wilderness. But when a new boss who is against women pilots takes over the airfield, Kate’s dreams–and even her life–are at stake. Can she prove her worth? Or will she die trying? And will she ever be able to truly surrender to her growing love for Paul?
Full of high-flying adventure and tender personal moments, Wings of Promise is the exciting second book in the Alaskan Skies series.
My Review:
First off (wait for the cover design commentary…) I adore this cover. The woman is exactly how I picture Kate Evans and I love her smirk. Love it.
Bonnie Leon caught me with the first book (Touching the Clouds) and I enjoyed Wings of Promise as much, if not more. She creates deep, authentic characters in an extraordinary climate.
The two heros, Mike and Paul, both tug at your heart and tear you in two. This is a story you won’t be able to put down (and you might want to wear a coat – the Alaskan wilderness is a bit nippy.)
I’m on edge waiting for the final book in this trilogy. A highly recommended summer read.

Disclaimer – I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. It did not sway my opinion in any way, though I still really want to visit Alaska because of this book.
Nicole, thank you for the great review. I’m thrilled you liked the book. And I can’t wait for book three to release. It’s a great ending to this story. : – )
Grace and peace to you.
