For the final post about me…(not forever, I assure you)…I thought I’d list some of my “favorites.”
Let me clarify: I HATE “favorite” questionnaires. I can never think of one ultimate favorite. I’d need at least a top ten to fully answer those sorts of questions… But I’ll try to keep this brief. So here you go:
In honor of the blog’s nature, I’ll start with my all-time favorite fiction books:
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collinsย (whole series – who can really pick?)
A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers
Favorite non-fiction books:
Hands down, no-need-for-mentioning-a-runner-up favorite:
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand is simply an incredible tale coupled with a detailed, masterful storyteller. Highly, highly recommended.
Favorite Movies:
Star Wars (the original trilogy, of course)
Other close picks:
Forrest Gump
Chronicles of Narnia (all)
Favorite TV Shows:
I’ll have to break this down. My all-time favorite was CSI (the original) but lately my loyalty had waned.
Other top favorites: Bones, NCIS, Mentalist, House, and anything on the History Channel except those horrible “reality” shows.
Red, Black and White (They were the colors at my wedding and now the motif of my house decor.)
Favorite breed of horse: (now this isn’t a category you typically see in these sort of questionnaires, but I’m special)
Arabian
Why? Because I’m a glutton for punishment. ๐
Actually, I love the history of the breed, the mystique, the challenge that comes with high-strung, overly-intelligent animals. The photo to the left is of my old regional champion Arabian show horse, HMH Alegacy.
Any time when I can steal away to write.
What about you? Pick a category and share one of your “favorites.”
I’m in the middle of The Hunger Games now. Daughter loved it. I’m not sure how I feel about it. It certainly keeps your interest, though.
Love NCIS (both of them), Bones, Fringe, and yes, Vampire Diaries. What on earth does that say about me?
I’m anxious to hear what you think of Hunger Games by the end! ๐
I actually have heard great things about Vampire Diaries! My husband and I don’t usually watch TV during their actually regularly scheduled times – we buy DVDs of the entire series when they’re cheap and watch them straight through. That is my plan for Vampire Diaries, based on the recommendations I’ve heard! ๐
What does that say about you? From your list – you like great stories, suspense and interesting characters! :- )
